Tall back with bowed triangular padded leather panel in front and behind, the whole finely carved with organic lines and motifs, the front apron similarly carved, the seat and back with original leather, tooled with complementary design

Lot Essay

A chair from the same commission, with identical tooled leather seat and back is in the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, the gift of M. Léon Raffin in 1906.
