1950 HUMBER SUPER SNIPE DROPHEAD COUPE

Registration No. DTK 242
Chassis No. 8804150
Engine No. 8804150
Right hand drive.

The Super Snipe was one of the leading staff cars of World War II and after the war its production continued alongside the Hawk and Snipe. They became well known for their experiences in severe and varied climatic conditions.

This two-door Mark II Super Snipe is in need of total restoration. It is almost complete, but with most of the trim missing, such as the bumpers. The car has not been dismantled, but some items, such as the petrol tank have been removed. This however is to be sold with the car along with various spare parts including a radiator fan cowling, inlet manifold, steering wheel and various other items. The engine is not in running order, however it is believed to be complete apart from the thermostat housing which is missing.

The hood is very tatty, but all of the fittings are present including the glass rear window. There is virtually no interior trim. Little history of the car is known apart from the fact that it has been in storage in this condition for the last twenty years.
