INDENT Lieutenant Samuel Pestell Donald Thomson, born 1888, Glasgow, educated at Uppingham and Pembroke College, Cambridge, received a commission in the Leicestershire Hussars and became Lieutenant November 1913. He arrived with his Regiment in France 13 November 1914 and on the 13 May 1915 was killed by a shell bursting in his dug-out when the Leicestershire Yeomanry were holding an area on the Menin-Ypres Road; he is buried in Sanctuary Wood Cemetery, Zillebeke, Belgium
