manuscript on vellum, 71ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 5ll. of neat brown maghribi, letter pointing in red, blue, green and yellow, with tripartite green roundels between verses, drop-shaped gold marking for every fifth verse and gold and polychrome medallions marking every tenth, sura heading in gold outlined in black and highlighted in red, with gold and polychrome marginal medallion of intertwined vine, (minor staining and damage to edges, ff.17-23 misbound), gold and polychrome illuminated panel with attached marginal medallion at start, final page with two lines of gold script at end stating that this is the sixth juz', modern European red morocco binding in Maghribi style
