A PARIS GREEN-GROUND CAMPANA-SHAPED VASE, the gilt handles with satyr's mark terminals, painted with an assembly of figures in a rustic interior, a man seated welcoming his son and bride, within a chased gilt rectangular cartouche, the reverse with a frieze of vases supported on formal foliage-scrolls divided by wands, below a border of swags of flowers, leaves and pendant grapes, and a beaded and gadrooned gilt rim, the fluted lower body gilt with husks, on a spreading foot and fixed square stand painted with a girl in Middle Eastern dress leaning on a terrace, and with chased gilt vases of fruit and foliage-scrolls (restored through stem, gilding rubbed), circa 1840
