Oblong 4° (159 x 198mm). Title printed in red and black within a decorative engraved border, one folding map and 29 plates by Jacob Custodi. (Light soiling and small tears to title, map torn and repaired, P2 torn just affecting text.) Old stained vellum, yapp fore-edges, orange morocco gilt lettering-piece (some scuffing to extremities). Provenance: Carmel of Vienna (inscription on title); A.J. (gilt monogram at foot of spine). Rare at auction. Berlin Kat. 2659.
