BLUE INTERLACED L'S ENCLOSING DATE LETTER KK FOR 1787, PAINTER'S MARK (SCRIPT L.) POSSIBLY FOR LE BEL AND (FOUR DOTS) FOR FONTAINE, INCISED 29 TO CUP AND 43 TO SAUCER

The cup delicately painted in colours on the yellow ground with an urn of flowers flanked by exotic birds and further fountains, all supported on arabesques and flowering tentrils, the rim with a flowering trailing vine within dark puce lines; the saucer with a slightly darker yellow ground and painted in a similar style with a neo-classic centerpiece of pink roses
