The cup delicately painted in colours on the yellow ground with an urn of flowers flanked by exotic birds and further fountains, all supported on arabesques and flowering tentrils, the rim with a flowering trailing vine within dark puce lines; the saucer with a slightly darker yellow ground and painted in a similar style with a neo-classic centerpiece of pink roses

The script L mark may be that of Jean-Nicholas Le Bel, active at Sèvres as a flower painter 1773-1793
