The Schooner Aetna was built by S.H. Barbour of Brewer, Maine (USA) and apparently owned by her builder who ran her out of nearby Bangor. She had an active career in the Down East-West Indies coastal trade until being wrecked off the Petit Manan Light, Nova Scotia, on 30 September 1913.
