A mahogany, rosewood crossbanded and strung bureau cabinet, the upper part with a moulded dentil cornice and simulated fluted frieze, enclosed by a pair of oval panelled doors, the fan-inlaid sloping fall enclosing a satinwood veneered fitted interior with drawers, pigeon holes and central enclosed compartment, fitted with four long drawers below with paterae-decorated angles on later bun feet, 18th century, the decoration of a later date -- 41in. (105cm.) wide, 21½in. (55cm.) deep, 85in. (216cm.) high.
