A French kingwood, gilt-metal-mounted and decorated bombe commode with a breche d'alep marble top, the false frieze drawer and enclosing cartouche-shaped panelled door decorated with floral sprays and a scene of three fruit gatherers and their dog in a pastoral setting, signed Crozet, the angles with rocaille, flowerhead and cabochon ornament trailing to outswept legs and scroll sabots -- 34in. (87cm.) wide, 16in. (41cm.) deep, 43½in. (110cm.) high.
