A satinwood-decorated and strung desk of Carlton House type, painted with ribbon-tied floral swags, husk chains, vases of flowers with foliate scrolls, Bacchanalian figures and a bird, the shaped superstructure fitted with eight drawers and three enclosed cupboards, with a tooled leather-lined writing surface and three frieze drawers below on square tapering legs, brass caps and castors -- 52in.
