A CYPRIOT INCISED RED POLISHED WARE JUG
MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 1900-1650 B.C.
The spherical body with cutaway-beak spout, the loop handle with thumb-grip lug, two further lugs on the neck, the incised linear decoration includes zigzags and parallel lines cut with a four-pronged instrument, repaired and restored, 11 in. (28 cm.) high; two Drab Polished Ware squat jugs, each with round base and short wide cylindrical neck, short side spout and loop handle, decorated overall with incised zigzags and parallel lines punctuated by impressed circles, repaired, both spouts restored, 8 in. (20.4 cm.) high max.; a similar ware jar, with rounded body and wide cylindrical neck with twin angular sharply pointed handles, decorated with horizontal and vertical lines, hatched triangles and impressed circles, repaired with restoration, 9 1/8 in. (23.2 cm.) high, all Middle Bronze Age, 1725-1650 B.C.; and an Incised Red Polished Ware round-based juglet, the squat vessel with wide neck, single pointed lug on the shoulder, loop handle opposite, incised linear decoration, Early Bronze Age, 2500-1900 B.C., 5¼ in.
