Bion A Paris, the folding gnomon decoratively engraved, the octagonal horizontal plate engraved with hours IIII-XII, I-VIII Pour 49 Degrez, the glazed compass box with pierced steel needle and engraved with the cardinal points, a fleur-de-lys at North, the underside of the box with a decoratively engraved spiral, in the original plush-lined, shaped and leather-covered case -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) wide
