A George III mahogany and brass-mounted striking bracket clock, circa 1760
The case with brass handle to a brass-lined inverted bell top, with brass-lined glazed side panels and front and rear doors, the stepped plinth raised on brass squab feet, with circular glass to the square silvered and engraved Roman and Arabic dial, signed in the centre Thos. Rogers LONDON, cut blued steel hands, the twin wire fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on bell, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and with a flowering basket, with conforming securing brackets -- 16½in. (42cm.) high to hilt of handle
