A William IV oak, mahogany and line inlaid longcase clock, circa 1835
The hood with swan-neck cresting and outset ringed columns, the short trunk door with panel below and flanked by three-quarter length reeded pilasters, the plinth also panelled, the 12in. white dial with floral spandrels to the Roman dial, subsidiary seconds ring (rubbed) and date arch to the centre, the arch painted with a country house beside a river, with falseplate stamped FINNEMORE to the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 72in. (183cm.) high
