Katabori, lightly stained boxwood; a model of a horse reclining on its right side, its forelegs folded in front of its body, its head turned to the left wearing an alert expression, the eyes inlaid in gilt metal and dark horn, the naturalistic mane and coat deeply incised and stained, the himotoshi formed by two equal holes in the base on either side of the right hind leg, signed with incised and stained characters on a polished rounded rectangular reserve under the right haunch Masanao
