A WELL-PRESENTED SCALE MODEL OF A ROYAL NAVY ARMED PINNACE (1803)
modelled by J.A. Brown with bound collapsible mast and lateen rig, stiched linen sail, fairleads, pins, main armament of cannons on slides with rigging, shot racks, containers with wadding, gun equipments, ropes etc, blocks and tackle, cross boards, gratings, anchor, secondary swivel guns, oars binnacle, tiller and other details. The planked and framed hull with bilge keels and rudder with chains, is finished in white and vanish and mounted on a display base with legend and plexiglass cover. Overall measurements -- 23¼ x 28½in. (59 x 72.5cm.)
