A Meissen lime-green-ground flared octagonal coffee-cup and saucer
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords marks, gilder's 20., Pressnummer 24 to cup
The cup painted with two panels of figures in wooded landscape vignettes with buildings, within gilt ogival cartouches, the saucer with figures at discussion on a quayside, within an elaborate gilt ombrierte cartouche, gilt scrolling foliage borders and gilt line rims (minute wear to rim of cup)
