The case with brass handle to breakarch and pad top, arched and silk-backed brass fishscale sound frets to the sides, the moulded base raised on block feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track, silvered centre signed R.d Kelly Cov. Garden London, blued steel hands, with conforming subsidiary strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin gut fusee movement with rectangular plates, strike and trip repeat on bell, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and with a horse's head on a hatched ground -- 15¼in.
