The case with brass handle to breakarch top, silk-backed brass fishscale sound frets to the sides, brass-lined front door and front angles (one strip lacking), on outswept brass feet, the brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with mock pendulum aperture and signed on a silvered plaque Wm. Hooper London, blued diamond-pierced steel hands, with subsidiary silvered rings in the arch for strike/silent and pendulum regulation, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with verge escapement and rectangular plates, strike on bell, with pendulum holdfast to the back plate engraved with floral garlands -- 16½in.
