This remarkable timewarp Humber has resided in the present owner's hands for more than 30 years, until it was recently discovered by a Christie's specialist. Little is known of its original supply details or history, however its registration number pre-fix confirms it to have been registered locally to the factory within the Wolverhampton County Council borough.
When inspected the Humber appeared to be largely complete. Its original Humber factory coachwork still wears their kick-plates and appears never to have been structurally modified, while the upholstery although original is in undamaged but in tired order. It also benefits from having the many period detail fittings, which make these cars so attractive. Mechanically the car is understood to be complete, though it has not been run for many years.
Very few opportunities to acquire original unspoilt cars of the Edwardian period are presented. As such this Humber, much in the mould of the Sunbeamhp Tourer which Christie's sold for 38,900 in 1999, offers an ideal basis for restoration.
