A pair of Miles Mason porcelain two-handled oviform vases and covers
Circa 1810, the bases impressed M. Mason
Each painted with continuous idyllic wooded landscapes with figures by cottages and ruined gothic buildings below moulded gilt bands and partially divided by elaborate gilt masks, the shoulders with bands of elborate gilt geometric, lozenge and foliate ornament, the lower parts with bands of down-turned gilt palmettes, the short waisted gilt feet on black square plinth bases, the short flared necks with broad gilt bands, the gilt high domed covers with acorn finials (slight wear to gilding, one vase with restored upper rim and lower part, one cover with minor restoration to rim)
