Two English porcelain green-ground two-handled oviform vases
Circa 1830, perhaps Minton, gilt circle and cross mark to one
Each painted in the manner of Thomas Steel with flowers on marble plinths within rectangular gilt cartouches with canted corners, the foliage-moulded flanges at the shoulders below broad gilt bands, the flared green-ground necks with continuous bands of trailing gilt foliage below foliage moulded rims, the rims and flanges connected by gilt foliage scroll-moulded handles, the gilt lower parts moulded with vertical rib and dot ornament, the green-ground waisted feet with garlands of gilt foliage, on gilt square plinth bases (three handles restored, some wear to gilding)
