An English porcelain ink-well, liner and a cover
Circa 1815, the cover later
The ink-well formed as one half of a shell moulded with blue ribs alternating with white ribs enriched with gilt foliage, the gilt-ground top with two pierced gilt pen-holders and painted with a garland of pink roses about a circular aperture, the liner with a gilt band rim, the urchin shell cover with a gilt butterfly finial (some very slight wear to gilding, minute chipping to pen-holders, finial restored)
