A FINE ETRUSCAN MONTEFORTINO TYPE BRONZE HELMET

The domed helmet with narrow rear peak chased with hatched band, an incised band of herringbone motif extends around the perimeter, the crown topped by small rosette finial, with separate hinged cheekpieces of scalloped outline, each composed of front and back plates, the front plate with triple disc decoration, button knob at base for attachment of chin strap
Helmet 7 in. (17.9 cm.) high; cheekpieces 5½ in. (14 cm.) long
