A German carved oak quarter-striking table clock, early 20th century
The case with tesselated domed top and turned finials (parts detached), fretwork side doors and inset columns to the front, the stepped base raised on toupie feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered chapter ring, subsidiary slow/fast ring in the arch with retail signature Wm. FREEMAN/HIGH ST. PORTSMOUTH, blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with ting-tang quarter strike on two gongs -- 28½in. (72cm.) high
