A Victorian Scottish mahogany longcase clock, circa 1840
The drum-head hood with carved foliate cresting (detached) and the tapering trunk with 'onion' mouldings to the door, on stepped and panelled plinth, the 12½in. diameter white painted Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date rings, blued steel spade hands, pinned directly to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 80¾in. (205cm.) high
