An English mahogany longcase regulator
The breakarch hood with thumbnail mouldings to the front angles and circular glazed side panels, the trunk with brass stop-fluted chamfered angles flanking a breakarch door with moulded frame, with quatreform panel to the plinth on raised skirting, the 14in. diameter silvered dial of regulator format, blued steel hands, the four pillar (formerly five) movement with shouldered plates, Vulliamy type deadbeat escapement and maintaining power, various plugged and vacant holes to the plates; associated, movement adapted and with later dial, case first quarter 19th century -- 83¼in. (211cm.) high
