The silvered dial with Roman hour numerals and signed Tobias & Levitt 31, Minories, London No.244, blued steel hands, subsidiary up-and-down dial at XII and large diameter seconds ring at VI, the mainframe assembly carrying reversed fusee, barrel and centre wheel and engraved on the top plate Tobias & Levitt MINORIES No.244, the sub-frame assembly carrying the remainder of the train with cut bimetallic balance with wedge-shaped compensation weights, blued steel helical spring, Earnshaw escapement, dovetail spring detent with jewelled locking stone to side of banking block, the bowl stamped TOBIAS & LEVITT, the three-tier box with vacant brass plaque to the top lid and later bone plaque to the front of the middle section, brass drop handles -- 108mm. dial diam., 195mm. square the box
