Fromanteel. Circa 1690
The 11in. square dial signed Fromanteel beneath the brass Roman and Arabic chapter ring with elaborately pierced blued steel hands, finely matted centre with ringed winding holes and vacant calendar apertures, lacking seconds ring, winged cherub-and-foliate spandrels, foliate engraved border, latches to the three dial feet and to the six ringed pillars of the movement with reversed trains, high position small countwheel on the backplate with strike on a later bell above the plates, anchor escapement (lacking pendulum and weights)
