Oblong photograph (8 x 10 in.). Inscribed in black ink in light upper left-hand portion "To Cecile Walters With best wishes John Kennedy."
An excellent image: Kennedy, standing at a podium crowded with microphones, is caught in the middle of a sweeping gesture, his right hand upraised for emphasis. Just visible behind him, to the right, is Senator Barry Goldwater, his opponent in the 1960 presidential contest. Accompanied by a TLS of from Mary A. Benjamin, 1981, stating: "I believe that...the photograph signed by Kennedy is one hundred percent genuine...."
