A Sicilian maiolica dated waisted albarello
1683, probably Burgio
Outlined in manganese and painted in pale-blue with a skull and crossed-bones within an oval panel reserved on a ground painted with a mask and trophies, between guilloche pattern bands, above a band of leaf ornament, the neck painted with a gadrooned pattern (chip to footrim and some flaking)
