An Indian silver and gilt Aftaba, (ewer)
Deccan, 18th century
the lobed globular body with alternating gilt and silver lobes below bands of lappets, the s-scroll handle with lion-head terminals attached to the hinged dome cover, the curved spout also with a lion-head terminal, on a pedestal foot -- 9½in. (24.2cm.) high, (rubbing to gilt).
