A George III mahogany and brass-mounted striking table clock

The case with brass handle to the bell top flanked by four brass pineapple finials, the sides with silk-backed fishscale double sound frets, with moulded angles to the brass-lined front door, also with florally-cast brass escutcheon and foliate quarter frets, the rear door with moulded frame and wooden quarter frets, the stepped and moulded base on brass bracket feet, with foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the centre engraved with foliate scrolls, a mask and ho-ho birds, with mock pendulum (replaced) and date apertures, the arch also engraved, with flowering baskets to the silvered subsidiary rings for pendulum regulation and strike/silent, signed on a recessed silvered plaque George Allan London, the five (formerly six) pillar movement with twin wire fusees and verge escapement, with hour strike on bell and pull quarter repeat on six nested bells, the back plate elaborately engraved with floral scrolls around a flowering basket and with pendulum hold slide, the movement securing brackets also engraved
