marked Fabergé and with workmaster's mark of Johan Victor Aarne, St. Petersburg, circa 1890
Of rectangular form, with extended borders in the upper corners, the outer rim with dot and dash decoration and ribbon cresting, enclosing a blue guilloché enamel frame, applied with floral swags in the lower section, suspended by foliate drops and ribbons from the cresting, with beaded bezel, the white ground face of the thermometer with Fahrenheit markings in black, on two gadrooned feet, with wood back and scroll strut, fullymarked
