The flea microscope has a folding ivory handle and lens mount, and a sliding specimen spike-holder (spike missing). It is in a greeen plush-lined fishskin-covered fitted case with the remains of a Culpeper microscope, comprising: the folding splayed tripod foot; objectives 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, with four (of five) ivory covers; a lieberkuhn objective; two pairs of tweezers; two stage forceps; two turned ivory canisters with mica discs and retaining rings; a black and white disc in a brass mount; a slide holder with blued-iron sprung arms; and other small items.
