The baseplate adjusts from the mirror via rack and pinion, with a second rack and pinion arrangement for rotating the two-section barrel. The upper section incorporates rack and pinion adjustment to the eyepiece, over the sprung mount for the sliders and objectives. Accessories include: three brass objective sliders, each with one bead and numbered 1&2, 3&4 and 5&6; a longer objective slider, with six numbered beads; two screw feet with (later) steel washers; and some ivory and one brass slider. The case has some green felt lining and two brass hooks and eyes (one broken).
