A Chelsea-Derby sugar bowl and cover, a cup and saucer and a saucer- dish en suite
Circa 1775, conjoined anchor and D marks in gold, the saucer-dish with red anchor mark
The first of cylindrical form, with cover and a berry finial, sprially- moulded in blue within a border of interwoven leaves and dark-blue ground decorated with gilt flowerheads, the cup painted with Roman-style cameos en grisalle interspered with swags of leaves and gilt flowerhead ornament, the cup and saucer similarly decorated, the saucer painted with an urn en grisalle draped in pink flowers, the saucer dish similar with green swags tied with pink ribbons, all within gilt-lined rims (minor rim chipping to inner rim of cover) (3)
