LATE 19TH CENTURY, GILT ANCHOR MARKS, ONE WITH IMPRESSED NUMERALS
After Chelsea originals, one modelled with the 'Fox in the Well' depicting a fox standing before a flowering tree, his front legs on the edge of a well out of which peers a goat, the other modelled with 'The Fox and the Grapes' depicting two foxes, one recumbent, the other standing on his back legs before fruiting vines, each group before fencing, on shaped bases with a banner to the front painted with three insects, on scroll-moulded feet, the sconces similarly painted with insects above leaf-moulded drip-pans (minor chips and restoration)
