Edo period (19th century), the first inscribed Bishu Osafune Suketsune and with spurious date Bunmei sannen nigatsu hi (1471.2), the second with partial inscription Sa
The long blade with shinogi-zukuri configuration, iori-mune back, torii-zori curvature and o-gissaki point and with dragon curled around a Buddhist ken carved on the omote side and futasuji-hi and bonji carved on the ura side, forging pattern tight itame and gunome choji midare tempered edge and a jizo tip, tang unshortened with katte-sagari file marks and one mekugi-ana; the second configuration hira-zukuri, iori-mune with muzori curvature, forging pattern itame with a suguha tempered edge, tang unshortened furisode shape with three mekugi-ana and indistinct file marks; both in wood storage scabbards
