Modern brown morocco, gilt-lettered on spine, edges gilt, by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. Provenance: Newberry Library (bookplate; duplicate label; sold Sotheby's London, 8 November 1965, lot 210).
FIRST EDITION, second issue (some part of this edition was reissued with a new title dated 1658 pasted over the original). The attribution of this play to Marlowe is now generally rejected. It is believed that "an old play written by an imitator of Marlowe may perhaps underlie it" (Pforzheimer 644). Greg 777aII; Wing L-3504a.
