CIRCA 1790, UNDERGLAZE BLUE SCEPTRE MARKS, THREE WITH UNDERGLAZE BLUE DASHES, VARIOUS INCISED MARKS
Finely painted in sepia with wooded river landscapes with figures, boats, cottages, towers, churches and distant villages, within oval and circular gilt band cartouches against broad blue-ground bands with tightly interwoven gilt meandering foliage within white gilt-edged bands and gilt bands rims, the angular ear-shaped handles edged with gilt bands, comprising:

An oval tray (rim with very slight flaking to gilding, gilding on ground with areas of slight wear, centre with some very slight scratches)
A cylindrical coffee-pot and domed cover (handle restuck, restored rim chip, slight wear to gilding adjacent to handle, cover with chip to underside of rim)
A cylindrical teapot and domed cover (restored chip to underside of spout, gilding of handle possibly partially refreshed)
A cylindrical hot-milk jug and domed cover (very small chip to upper rim)
A cylindrical sugar-basin and domed cover (minute chip to inner side of upper rim)
Two coffee-cans and saucers (cans with small areas of wear to gilding on ground, one can with minute footrim chip)
(areas of minute wear to gilding throughout), sold with a later rectangular green gilt-tooled fitted carrying case
