A Victorian engraved gilt-brass desk compendium timepiece

The foliate and border engraved case with monogram beneath arched windows for the time and day of week with manually adjusted calendar, mercurial thermometer above, the foliate engraved dial with painted Roman numerals and blued steel fleur-de-lys hands and punch-numbered 1512 beneath the moulding at the top, the unusual frosted gilt half plate movement with going barrel, lever escapement with gold three-arm balance wheel, the backplate signed THOS COLE LONDON, the rear of the case with further serial number stamp 1512; together with the original triangular green leather travelling case with green velvet and silk lining with separate compartment for the original calendar adjustment key
