The circular silvered Roman dial with blued spade hands and rose-engraved centre, within a porcelain frame styled as a ribbon-tied wreath, foliate engraved gilt-metal cresting to the top, the reverse engraved with the initials J.K. and dated 1862, the typical eight-day movement with plain steel balance to lever escapement, the backplate signed THOs. COLE LONDON, easle stand to the backplate numbered 1460; original red velvet-lined oak travelling box
