The case with inverted bell top with pineapple finials, brass handles to the sides above brass fishscale sound frets (now with glass backing), the brass-lined front door with foliate cast quarter frets, the base raised on brass bracket feet, the white painted dial with Roman chapter ring, signed in the centre DIEGO EVANS Bolsa Real LONDRES, with alarm-set disc and subsidiary calendar ring, inscribed in the centre DIARIO DEL MES, pierced brass hands, the arch with ring for SILENCIO/TOCAR, the five pillar movement with twin gut fusees and knife-edge verge escapement, hour strike, pull wind alarm and trip repeat on a bell, the backplate with repeat signature, engraved border and with conforming engraving to the backcock apron and movement securing brackets
