A Regency brass-mounted rosewood striking table clock, circa 1820
With pineapple finial to stepped and chamfered top, brass loop handles to the sides above fishscale sound frets, brass-lined fielded panels to the front and brass-lined chamfered angles, with stepped base, the white painted Roman dial signed HAMLEY/LONDON, blued steel moon and circle hands, strike/silent lever above XII, the eight day five pillar movement with scoop-cornered plates, twin gut fusees with anchor escapement and strike/trip repeat on bell, the back plate with engraved border, repeat signature and pendulum holdfast -- 18¼in. (46.5cm.) high
