The can painted with two Turkish lovers in an exotic landscape, the boy with his arm resting on the girl's shoulder, within an oval gilt ciselé ribbon-tied band cartouche, the ground with a gilt border of garlands interwoven about clasps and flowerheads, the saucer with a recumbent dog before a basket of coloured feather plumes and a ribbon-tied shepherdess's staff in a wooded landscape, within a circular gilt band cartouche against a blue ground and similar border, gilt dentil rims (minute areas of wear to gilding, gilt footrim of can possibly partially refreshed, cartouche of saucer partially refreshed)
