The case with brass handle to bell top and pineapple finials to the angles, two glazed panels to each side and further glazed panels to the front door, on block feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track and inner concentric calendar ring, the silvered and florall engraved centre signed Nath.l Cavell/Ipswich, blued steel hands, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with five pillars, now with anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, with plain back plate lacking holdfast -- 18½in. (47cm.) high to fold of handle
