The case with brass handle to bell top, pierced double frets to the sides and further frets to the front door, on squab feet, the brass dial with foliate scroll spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with inner concentric calendar ring, matted centre with recessed silvered signature plaque Wright & Thorp/In the Poultry/LONDON, blued steel hands, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with five pillars, verge escapement and strike/trip repeat on bell, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and a basket and the securing brackets with leafy sprigs -- 18½in. (47cm.) high to fold of handle
