A George III mahogany and satinwood inlaid longcase clock, circa 1810
The arched hood with turned urn finials, brass Corinthian capitals to spiral twist out-set columns, with crimped frame to the door, the short trunk door flanked by inset conforming half columns, on plinth with wavy apron, the 13in. wide painted Arabic dial with floral spandrels, with subsidiary seconds ring and arch date aperture, signed Bartley & Eggert Bristol, all hands detached, the arch painted with a swan, formerly automaton, with false plate stamped WALKER & HUGHES to the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; built up cheekboards, possibly associated -- 90in. (209cm.) high
